What We Do NOT Collect

• No tracking cookies - We do not use cookies to track your behavior across sites
• No analytics tracking - We do not use Google Analytics or similar services
• No advertising - We do not show ads or share data with advertisers
• No account required - You can use all features without creating an account

Local Storage

Spanish Spelling Test stores some data locally on your device to improve your experience:

• Test history - Your past test scores and dates
• Saved word lists - Word lists you choose to save
• Preferences - Settings like dark mode and auto accent correction

This data never leaves your device. It is stored in your browser's local storage and can be cleared at any time by clearing your browser data or using the "Clear History" button in the app.

Teacher Mode and Test Submissions

When using Teacher Mode, some limited data is temporarily stored on our servers:

• Student submissions - First name (if required by teacher), score, time taken, and words that need practice
• Test ID - A randomly generated identifier for the test
• Storage location - Data is stored on Cloudflare Workers KV, a secure cloud infrastructure
• Automatic deletion - All submissions are automatically and permanently deleted after 24 hours
• No backups - We do not keep backups of expired data

This data is used solely to enable teachers to view student results on the dashboard. We do not use this data for any other purpose, do not analyze it, and do not share it with third parties.

File Imports

When you import files (PDF, Word, Excel, or images), the processing happens entirely in your browser. Your files are never uploaded to our servers. The text extraction is performed locally on your device.

Text to Speech

The Spanish pronunciation feature uses your device's built in text to speech capabilities. No audio is sent to external servers.

Third Party Services

Spanish Spelling Test uses the following external services:

• Cloudflare Workers & KV - For Teacher Mode data storage (submissions auto-delete after 24 hours)
• Google Fonts - For typography (Fredoka and Nunito fonts)
• Cloudflare CDN - For loading JavaScript libraries (PDF.js, etc.)
• Formspree - For the contact form (only if you choose to submit feedback)

These services have their own privacy policies. We have chosen services that respect user privacy and comply with data protection standards.

Children's Privacy

Spanish Spelling Test is designed to be safe for children. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13. The app can be used without providing any personal information.

Data Security

Since we do not collect personal data, there is minimal data to secure. The temporary teacher mode submissions are stored securely and automatically deleted after 24 hours.

Your Rights

Because we do not collect personal data, there is no data for us to provide, correct, or delete. Your local data can be cleared by clearing your browser storage.
